Eyman Partners is pleased to announce that attorney Sandra George has joined the firm as a Senior Advisor.  Sandra joins us after nearly two decades of federal health care oversight experience.  This follows several years of private practice alongside Barbara Eyman, Sarah Mutinsky and Eva Johnson in the Health Care Group at Ropes & Gray LLP, as well as on Capitol Hill.  Sandra’s robust legal and political experience and her longstanding commitment to advancing health care for all will greatly supplement our practice and the service we provide our clients.

Most recently, Sandra served as the Assistant General Counsel for Health Care at the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO). At the GAO, Sandra led its team of attorneys providing legal counsel and strategic guidance to the Comptroller General and GAO senior executives responsible for advising Congress and the executive branch on the full range of federal health care programs and activities, including Medicaid financing and payments and the 340B program. Sandra was also the lead attorney for the agency’s vast body of work on the federal government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the federal government’s implementation of the Affordable Care Act.

Prior to entering law, Sandra worked on Capitol Hill for former New Jersey Senator Jon S. Corzine and then-U.S. Representative Bernie Sanders. Sandra also served as the Deputy Director of former New Jersey Governor Jon S. Corzine’s Washington, DC office, where she advised the Governor on federal health policy issues and represented him on the National Governors Association Health and Human Services Committee and Medicaid Working Group.

Sandra brings a deep knowledge of the legal and operational aspects of a broad range of federal health care programs to Eyman Partners’ health care practice. Her regular interactions with CMS and other agencies within the Department of Health & Human Services, as well as her work with Congress and other oversight bodies gives her a unique understanding of the policy, politics, and practical considerations undergirding the development and operation of these programs.  Sandra’s insights will further enhance the strategic and legal advice we offer our clients.

We hope you’ll join us in welcoming Sandra to the firm! She can be reached at sgeorge@eymanlaw.com or 571-842-9833.  Her full bio is available here.
