Sandra George

Sandra George joined Eyman Partners in 2024 after almost two decades in government, most recently as the Assistant General Counsel for Health Care at the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO).  At GAO, Sandra provided legal counsel and strategic guidance to the Comptroller General and GAO senior executives responsible for advising Congress and the executive branch on the full range of federal health care programs and activities, including Medicaid financing and payments and the 340B program.  At GAO, Sandra was the lead attorney for the agency’s vast body of work on the federal government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the federal government’s implementation of the Affordable Care Act.  Sandra also advised the Comptroller General regarding GAO’s appointments to health care commissions, including MACPAC and MedPAC.  Prior to GAO, Sandra was an Associate in the Health Care Group at Ropes & Gray LLP, where she worked closely with America’s Essential Hospitals (then the National Association of Public Hospitals) on the enactment of the Affordable Care Act and routinely worked with providers, including several existing Eyman Partners clients, to develop Medicaid funding and payment programs.

Prior to entering law, Sandra worked on Capitol Hill for former New Jersey Senator Jon S. Corzine and then-U.S. Representative Bernie Sanders.  Sandra also served as the Deputy Director of former New Jersey Government Jon S. Corzine’s Washington, DC office, where she advised the Governor on federal health policy issues and represented him on the National Governors Association Health and Human Services Committee and Medicaid Working Group.
